Hot Water in Eumundi: Local Conditions That Change the Job

Eumundi developed as a timber-harvesting area before land was cleared for dairying and bananas, and its heritage core still carries buildings from the town's formative decades, the Methodist church from 1911, the Anglican church from 1912, and the School of Arts, also 1912 and listed on the Queensland Heritage Register. The Imperial Hotel and its Eumundi Brewery, originally opened in 1988, closed in the late 1990s before being rebuilt and reopened in 2017. The town is best known today for the Eumundi Markets, which began on 24 March 1979 with three stalls and thirty dollars in total sales and now run to more than 600 stalls and roughly 1.6 million visitors a year.
That tourism draw brings real weekend traffic and foot traffic through the town centre, which matters for scheduling trade access around market days more than it changes the hot water work itself. The town's older buildings, many heritage-listed, often still carry original plumbing and electrical runs that were never specified for a modern continuous flow or heat pump system.
Gas remains unchanged from the rest of the hinterland: no reticulated natural gas, so gas hot water systems run on LPG bottles. RCM Hot Water checks existing supply before recommending any system type on an Eumundi property, heritage-listed or otherwise.
